  • Gain experience and credits from Time Attack by beating your PB splits and lap times
  • Three drag strips to feature in Drag Meets mode
  • Synchronised drag strip lights for all players brought back from FH 4

The latest Forza Horizon 6 deep dive dropped today (10th March 2026), giving players a more detailed look at the game’s Time Attack and Drag Meets modes.

As part of FH 6’s collaborative series of IGN First videos, information and new footage will be gradually drip-fed right through to release. Despite a slightly shaky start to proceedings last week, where the community raised concerns over video quality and content, things appear to be on a steadier footing, with the latest deep-dive highlighting two of its game modes.

Career

We already know FH 6’s single-player career will be split into two key facets: Horizon Festival and Discover Japan.

The former is the traditional Festival-based fayre we expect from an FH game, but developer Playground Games has emphasised how this will be more of a grind than before, with players forced to drive lower-class cars for longer.

The latter focuses on ‘vibe driving’ scenarios like Barn Finds, PR Stunts and Skills tests, catering to a more casual and freeform playing experience. Both are valid approaches to progression and will lead to gaining experience, credits and cars.

Time Attack

Time Attack is new to the series and sees players tackling circuits in order to get the fastest lap time.

Playground Games’ Dave Orton and Torbin Ellert explained that the goal is to continually beat your personal best, earning credits and experience in the process. Other players can also join you on the track, giving the mode a communal, car meet-style feel.

Physical leaderboards can be seen around the track, and are tailored to the performance index (PI) rating of your car. It’s also more likely you’ll be able to see the best times set by your friends on these, enhancing the ‘just one more race’ effect. This is buoyed by the addition of tracked sector times and a live delta, so players get instant feedback on their current pace.

The process of entering a Time Attack event is seamless, too, with players simply driving to the circuit and engaging with the event. These venues will also feature special cars to buy on-site, which will generally be cheaper to buy than elsewhere.

Drag Meets

Although not shown in the new IGN footage, Drag Meets will undoubtedly be a popular activity in FH 6.

The game will feature three drag strips in total and include synchronised lighting, which previously featured in FH 4. Indeed, the focus of Drag Meets is to get players locked into position so they can race against each other in a timely, fuss-free manner.

Again, just like Time Attack, Drag Meets will feature targeted leaderboards to add some extra intrigue, with players also able to gain by performing the same skills concurrently with other players, encouraging cooperative play.
