Three Sega icons arriving in free Sonic Racing: Crossworlds updates

• Three new characters and karts coming to Sonic Racing: Crossworlds
• Red (Angry Birds), Goro Majima (Yakuza) and Arle (Puyo Puyo) are debuting in a series of free updates
• Eight classic Sega audio tracks also coming to the game on 19th March

Three new characters will be joining the ranks of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, as part of a series of free updates, it has been revealed.

Arriving after the game’s upcoming Patch 3 release, players will be able to choose from three new characters and their respective vehicles, including Red from Angry Birds, Arle from the Puyo Puyo franchise and Goro Majima of Yakuza fame.

Red and his Super Roaster vehicle ​and Goro Majima and his Goromaru kart are slated for an April release, while Arle and her Bayoen are expected to drop sometime in May.

Eight new audio tracks from Sega’s back catalogue will also be added to the game’s jukebox, including Takenobu Mitsuyoshi’s absolutely belting rendition of ‘Let’s Go Away’ from Daytona USA. 

These are set to arrive alongside Patch 3, which is due to be released on 19th March 2026 across PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
