The first five hours of The Crew Motorfest will be free

Ubisoft’s open-world racing epic will be free to play on all platforms for the first five hours between 14th-17th September 2023.

The Ivory Tower-developed racing game – with cars, boats, quads, motorcycles and planes – will have a general release on 14th September, so this free trial ties in with the launch. Although, the Gold and Ultimate Editions received three days of early access from the 11th.

This is an unprecedented move to essentially gift the entry portion of the game away on the main release day, but it shows just how serious the French-American company is at reasserting its presence in the racing sub-genre, following the first two titles in the franchise.

Based on our preview impressions, The Crew Motorfest could be a significant improvement over its predecessors’ thanks to a luscious Hawaiian location and a clear focus on making driving more engaging. If you were on the fence, this is an excellent taster.

It follows the recent news of the Year 1 Car Pass and steering wheel support for the Forza Horizon and Need for Speed rival.
