MotoGP is currently enjoying some of the best racing in its history. The 2020 season was completely unpredictable, while the 2021 season has started in a similar fashion.

Six manufacturer teams, a packed grid and you simply do not know who will win each race. Incredible.

But there is one noticeable absentee – six-time world champion, Marc Márquez. Since his accident last year at the Circuit de Jerez as he was fighting back up the field after an earlier mistake, he’s sadly been injured. Each week there seems to be a new update, a road bike test or rumour that he will return, but for now, he’s not racing.

The final MotoGP eSport Championship qualifier is now open

So the final online qualifying time trial for the 2021 MotoGP eSport Championship is the closest you will see to a Marquez return, as you ride with the 56 race winner around, yes, Jerez.

Using the MotoGP 20 game on PC, PlayStation or Xbox, you’ve got until Sunday 11th April to set your time.

After these first four online time trial events, a draft selection takes place to select the top 16 players who will then go on to compete in races held at real-life MotoGP race weekends later this year. Let us know if you’re taking part via social media.
