Ahead of its launch on 23 July, KT Racing and Nacon have revealed everything Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown players can expect in the upcoming Season 4 update.
Showcased in a developer diary, the return of the casino from Test Drive Unlimited 2 headlines Season 4, as KT Racing reintroduces lifestyle elements from past games.
The casino will support an increased player cap of 32 – double the number of players in other social hubs. In-game currency, known as Solar Coins, can be spent on slot machines to win jackpot prizes. These include the menacing Mercedes-AMG Black Series, as well as avatar and car cosmetics and a jackpot prize worth up to 77,777 casino chips.
A mid-season update will also add multiplayer poker games and a ‘Golden Dragon’ slot machine with a higher jackpot of one million casino chips worth two million Solar Coins. A future update will also add the ability to convert casino chips into Solar Crown coins at a 2:1 ratio, with one casino chip converting to two Solar Coins.

The gambling element explains why Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown launched with an 18 age rating. However, the casino won’t be available in certain countries where gambling is illegal. Consequently, this unfortunately means the Mercedes-AMG Black Series prize car won’t be obtainable for players who can’t access the casino for now.
Furthermore, Season 4 introduces 20 Stock Races, with events restricted to factory-spec cars. Every car has also been updated with accurate active aero elements, such as retractable spoilers and working air brakes. For example, the Bugatti Veyron’s spoiler will now automatically switch between high and low drag mode, or this can be manually activated.
For Season 4, the Solar Pass will get a new paid tier and a more streamlined reward system, with prize cars unlocking at level one, 15 and 50. However, the top-level 50 reward car will be obtainable for everyone in a free tier.

Season 4 also brings several quality-of-life improvements, including the ability to customise or disable the HUD while driving and an overhauled map screen.
A new social tab makes it easier to track online players, or you can create custom views to sort between races, points of interest and speed tabs. Up to four routes can also be added to the GPS and sent to other players to organise road trips.
Finally, Season 4 adds five cars to the roster with the following unlock conditions:
- Mercedes-AMG GT Black – casino jackpot prize
- Aston Martin DB11 Volante – new dealership car
- Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe VR Widebody Kit – Solar Pass level one reward (premium tier)
- DeLorean Alpha5 – Solar Pass level 15 reward (premium tier)
- Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato – Solar Pass level 50 reward
Season 4 marks the end of Solar Crown’s Year 1 updates, but KT Racing has pledged to support the open-world racer for another year until at least July 2026, previewing Seasons 5, 6, 7 and 8 in the developer diary.
These seasons will add highly requested lifestyle features, including the return of player houses, along with a graphics update and new car brands.
