- The mid-season update for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will land 10th September 2025
- It will add a new slot machine variant to the Casino and remove the SARD anti-cheat system
- Multiplayer poker, however, will be moved to October’s Season 5 update alongside graphical improvements
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’s game of poker will no longer be in the Season 4 mid-season update within its casino.
The virtual gambling area is the main reason the open-world racing game is rated 18+, and its inclusion harks back to prior TDU series entries. However, it was not available until Season 4, which arrived on PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions in July.

When it was available, it was also blocked in 60 countries and only had one playable game type – Macao Lights slot machines.
However, this will be joined by Gold Dragon Slot Machine when the next major update – Season 4 mid-season – arrives on 10th September 2025. The ability to cash out any Casino Chip winnings into the main Solar Coin currency will also be possible from this time. The rate will be 1 Casino Chip = 2 Solar Coins.
Poker will instead arrive in Season 5, which should be released sometime in October. This is multiplayer Texas Hold’em, and publisher Nacon has released five minutes of work-in-progress gameplay.
The KT Racing development team is also considering ways in which players could sit down in the casino, and the possibility of those in the 60 block nations to somehow receive the casino reward car – Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
Season 6, detective missions
In a unique twist, the development team recently asked the community which game mode it should work on for the Season 6 update. From the options of Detective, Package Delivery, Photo Challenge and Adrenaline, the former was the most voted for.
These should see you following a target car while avoiding detection.

SARD anti-cheat removed
Following the re-adding of anti-cheat recently, now KT Racing has decided to remove the SARD Anti-Cheat system, which was kernel-based and AI-powered. Many gamers are opposed to this type of system, with concerns over its access level on PC.
The process will begin removing it on 10th September, for the mid-season patch, and will be completed by the launch of Season 5, according to the development team’s latest Solar Club newsletter.
Season 5 will also see further graphical improvements for the game, and the screenshots you see in this article are from an early preview of said changes.
