Upcoming sim racing game Project Motor Racing is set to feature over 70 cars at launch, and now, further details have been published on digital storefronts about its post-release DLC plans.

Now we know that the optional paid-for content will be structured across four packs and one expansion:

  • Group 5 Revival Pack – Available ‘day one’ (25th November 2025) – Includes five cars
  • Japanese GT500 Pack – Q1 2026
  • GT Legends Pack – Q2 2026
  • V8 Power Pack – Q3 2026
  • Endurance Racing Expansion – Q4 2026 – “Includes two new classes of 24-hour icons, one legendary track, GTP and LMP1 are here: Race them all at Le Mans”

This provides several intriguing details about the upcoming roster.

Firstly, Group 5 looks to be from the fourth generation of the ruleset, based on the wedge-tastic Zakspeed Ford Capri used on the thumbnail for this first DLC pack. Such a vehicle was part of the Project CARS franchise a decade ago. Contemporary models included pumped-up Lancias and BMWs.

Then there’s the Japanese GT500 pack – GT500 is a class of race car in the Japanese Super GT championship. Note how the series name ‘Super GT’ is not named for this pack, hinting car a vehicle-specific license as opposed to the entire championship. It’s also not clear which generation of GT500 vehicles is to be included.

This GTE Aston is part of a pre-order bundle, but not the main DLC packs.

The next two are trickier to ascertain, before the big Endurance Racing Expansion. It’s here that we believe the Circuit de la Sarthe will be included, the venue for the 24 Hours of Le Mans event. Which specific models within the GTP and LMP1 categories will be included is to be announced at a later date.

The information originally came from listings on the Epic Games Store and Xbox stores, but that was a placeholder edition of the DLC graphic. Traxion has since been sent the final version (embedded in the article) by the game developer, Straight4 Studios.

Alongside the DLC, it will also feature a user-generated content portal for modded content.
