SRO Esports Racing Night will take place at Fanatec Esports Arena during 2022 Spa 24

This weekend, the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa will take place at the real-world Spa-Francorchamps venue. During the real-world event, the SRO Motorsports Group will be hosting the SRO Esports Racing Night with 24 top-talented sim racers from Europe.

Taking place at the Fanatec Esports Arena on Saturday night (30th July 2022), top sim drivers such as Dáire McCormack, David Tonizza, Tobias Gronewald and Nils Naujoks will take on the challenge in one of the sim rigs provided by Fanatec and AK Informatica.

Those four drivers currently find themselves in the Top 5 of the current Mobileye GT World Challenge Europe Esports Championship standings with James Baldwin as the fifth driver. Baldwin will not be on the SRO Esports Racing Night entry list as he’ll be competing in the real-world Spa 24 happening at the same time.

The race itself is a 60-minute competition that will utilize the Assetto Corsa Competizione platform. The racing will begin at 21:00 CEST as the real-world event continues on outside on the real-world circuit. In total, €14,500 in prizes is up for grabs, €6,000 of which will go straight to the winner.

One of the spots in the field will be given to the top time in the Mobileye Hot-lap Contest which is open to anyone with paddock access. Between 10:00 CEST and 16:00 CEST, fans will be able to post a time at the Arena and the best time will get a seat in the main event.
