Sim-Lab’s SQ1 Sequential Shifter is now available to pre-order, with units shipping as early as the third week of March, according to the Dutch-based sim hardware manufacturer.
The SQ1, which was first revealed to us in December 2024, has a weighty push-pull action designed to mimic the heavy, mechanical shift of a rally or touring car, with three interchangeable roller profiles.
Sim-Lab states that shifting will feel smooth with every gear change accompanied by a pronounced click. All moving parts are aluminium with Sim-Lab hopeful there will be opportunities to add haptics to the unit alongside community-made custom profiles. How this will work in practice is still yet unknown.

Shifting feel can be adjusted via the blue anodised knob at the base of the SQ1 with signals sent to your PC via hall effect sensors.
Sim-Lab has impressed us recently with its three direct drive wheelbases previewed at the 2024 ADAC SimRacing Expo and its official Mercedes-AMG F1 steering wheel, which Traxion has been sampling recently.
The Sim-Lab SQ1 Sequential Shifter is available to pre-order now for €199 EUR / $199 USD / $299 CAD | $299 AUD | £167 GBP.
