Season in Review: Dave Cam takes on the iRacing GR86 Cup

For the last 12 weeks, Dave Cam has been grinding it out in the newly-minted iRacing GR Cup. New for iRacing 2023 Season 1, the Toyota GR86 Cup Car was the newest piece of included content in December’s build. With that, iRacing added a 12-race fixed setup series to the 2023 Season 1 calendar for the new car.

Visiting venues such as Virginia International Raceway, Rudskogen, Magny-Cours, Oulton Park, Laguna Seca and more, Dave has been putting in the work, trying to take each week one race at a time. There were some wins, and there were also some races that felt like wins to finish high in the running order.

While the intentions were to run 12 races in 12 weeks, there were circumstances out of his control. Regardless, the top results were only counted toward his championship run, and what a season it was.

The goal was to finish as high up in the points as possible, which meant Dave needed to qualify and take on some of the top racers on the platform. By the end of the season, the goal had become to finish on the front page of the points standings out of nearly 40,000 users that competed in the official races.

Check out Dave’s season in review, and watch until the end to see if he was able to hit his points goal. Thanks to all who tuned in this season! Be sure to check out the Traxion.GG website and Traxion.GG YouTube page for even more Dave Cam and our other racing game content.
