Tesla’s all-electric Cybertruck is set for a video game double whammy today, as it’s released concurrently in both Fortnite and Rocket League.

The angular skip-on-wheels can accelerate from 0-60 in 2.6s in its tri-motor “Cyberbeast” configuration, producing 630kW – that’s a chunky 845hp in freedom units.

The Cybertruck can be unlocked for free during Rocket League’s “Summer Road Trip” event, where players must complete three challenges between the 23rd of July and the 6th of August to claim Elon Musk’s bulletproof baby in-game.

Additionally, between the 31st of July and the 6th of August, players can unlock a suite of Cybertruck-inspired goodies by competing in five online matches with Beast Mode Boost equipped. The items are:

  • Tesla Cybertruck Car Body (Hybrid Hitbox)
  • Cybertruck Starlink + Traction Board Topper
  • Cybertruck Engine Audio
  • Baja Off-Road Cybertruck Decal
  • OMG Cybertruck Decal
  • Matte Black Cybertruck Decal
  • CyberCamo Cybertruck  Decal
  • Stainless Steel Cybertruck Decal

Cybertruck cross-game ownership

The Tesla Cybertruck Car Body, Decals, Beast Mode Boost and Cyber Wheels items will all be eligible for cross-game ownership between Rocket League and Fortnite, as both titles are under the stewardship of Epic Games.

Fortnite players can also earn the aforementioned items by completing the “Fortnite Summer Road Trip” in-game event, with a teaser video showing Fortnite favourite ‘Fishtick’ harnessing the Cybertruck’s copious amounts of torque in an automotive tug-of-war.

Fortunately, this took place on dry asphalt and not on a slightly dusty track, otherwise, the result may have been very different.
