After successfully launching a brand new, and unique, esports championship, the REMUS GT3 Championship within RaceRoom moves on to the fabled Nürburgring later this evening.
The championship sees a 28-car GT3 grid, with the field split evenly across two teams. One for German automotive television presenter and race car driver Matthias Malmedie and one for popular automotive enthusiast Shmee150.
The two teams then go head-to-head, fighting over a €25,000 prize pool. There’s also a guest-driver spot, which for Round 2 is YouTube sim racing content creator Gamermuscle.
During the first round at Spa-Francorchamps, three-time ADAC GT Masters Esports champion Moritz Löhner, driving for team Malmedie won the first race and Team Shmee150’s André Santos won the second.
The format includes a ten-minute qualifying session, setting the starting grid for Race 1. For the starting grid of Race 2, the result from the first race will be flipped. You can watch Round 2 live tonight on the RaceRoom Racing Experience YouTube channel from 5.30 pm BST / 6.30 pm CEST.
