- Seven Rotax-branded karts added to KartSim in rFactor 2
- Available initially as a free upgrade in the KartSim Pro UK pack (£499)
- Rotax DD2 coming to Pro EU pack (£499) in future
Rotax has partnered up with KartSim to add several new kart models for rFactor 2.
KartSim provides high-end karting simulation equipment and software to budding racing stars of the future, and has previously released a range of karts and tracks for Motorsport Games’ rFactor 2 sim.
Its last major release came in October 2025, bringing all KartSim content up to modern standards. Now, however, the British-based company has secured a licence to add Rotax-branded karts to its KartSim Pro UK pack.
This adds seven Rotax-engined karts to the sim, including Mini Max, Senior Max and E20 Senior karts, with all the new content arriving as a free upgrade for owners of the Pro UK pack (which currently retails for £499).

BRP-Rotax manufactures engines for aircraft, motorcycles and snowmobiles, but is perhaps best known to motorsport fans for its exploits in karting, with its engines renowned for their reliability. The Austrian firm also hosts the single-make Rotax MAX Challenge series, helping to develop motorsport stars of the future through a progressive, class-based pathway.
KartSim has also confirmed that the Rotax DD2 will be added to the Pro EU pack (also £499) at a later date.
