The rFactor 2 Competition System schedule for Season 4 was announced on Monday (27th June 2022). From now through the first week in August, four weekly series, plus the qualification for the fourth Race of the Season, are now live for rFactor 2 competitors to get in on.

rFactor 2’s Competition System is fairly new to the service, so it’s pretty compact at the moment in comparison to other sims out there with similar instances. Regardless, the lineup of racing in store from Motorsport Games and Studio 397 includes some of their top notch products in the rFactor 2 sim.

This season’s Race of the Season will be the BTCC Toyota Corolla at Donington Park, two recent releases to the rFactor 2 service. Until 31st July, sim racers can go and set a lap time down in hopes of qualifying for the top split. That top split will be broadcasted live on Traxion.GG on 7th August at 8:00 p.m. BST.

Besides the Race of the Season, which some of us might give a go again this time around, there are a number of other racing competitions to also look forward to in the Competition System’s fourth season.

WEEKLY RACING ON rFACTOR 2’s COMPETITION SYSTEM

There are two weekly series that run through the August during this fourth season, and they include the GT3s and the BTCC machinery.

The headlining series making its debut this season is the GT3 Sprint, a Wednesday night series that will run for six weeks starting 29th June. The first race is at Laguna Seca, and prequalifying is already complete, having ended yesterday.

Each race event will have 10 minutes of practice, 10 minutes of qualifying, and the races will be 60 minutes long. The series utilizes the GT3 car selection on the platform.
