After a 72-hour early access period for Deluxe Edition players, Rennsport launches today, 13th November. Unfortunately, the launch hasn’t gone smoothly.
While its crossplay multiplayer is commendable, the racing simulation is riddled with bugs and glitches, from AI drivers randomly crashing into walls to pit crews floating in the air above you.
In response, Competition Company and Teyon have pledged to address the game’s reported issues in updates.
“Our focus right now and for the future is simple; We’re committed to steadily improving the overall player experience in Rennsport, and you will see consistent progress over the coming days, weeks, and months,” said the title’s Creative Director, Kim Orremark, to Traxion.
According to a blog post, Rennsport’s first post-launch update is expected to arrive on PC and consoles next Tuesday, 18th November, with QA testing beginning today, 13th November.

“Since we launched the 72h Early Unlock version of Rennsport this Monday, we’ve received an incredible amount of valuable feedback from everyone who already has access, and we’re truly grateful for that,” the developer wrote.
“We are tracking the feedback that is coming and are evaluating everything in detail. A number of fixes have been planned for the coming weeks as well. We have already put a lot of work into our first post-launch update.”
Patch notes are not available yet, but Rennsport’s first post-launch update is expected to bring “around 90 fixes and improvements.”
Chief among these is a fix resolving wheel compatibility on Xbox. Since the Deluxe Edition launched, players have reported wheels from Fanatec, Logitech, and Thrustmaster not working on Xbox.
In addition, the patch will aim to fix an issue affecting the setup process of console controllers not working correctly and a telemetry-related PC crash.
There’s no mention of the update addressing the AI issues, but the full patch notes are expected closer to the update’s launch next week.
