Significant behind-the-scenes changes will take place to Rennsport ahead of the Version 1.0 PC release and same-day cross-platform release on console.

Rennsport on PC set for a week of maintenance ahead of Version 1.0

Rennsport, the upcoming-but-also-been-around-a-while sim racing title, will switch from free-to-play to a more ‘traditional’ pay-upfront model on 13th November 2025.

At the same time, it will be released on PlayStation 5 and  Xbox Series X|S with cross-platform multiplayer and cross-platform progression.

In order to facilitate the necessary changes and go from early access to Version 1.0 on Steam, the PC version will undergo seven days of downtime.

The maintenance will take place between:

  • 10 am CET 3rd November to 10am CET 10th November 2025

The original plan was to launch some sort of “limited free-to-enter version” ahead of launch, however, this has now changed into a week of maintenance before the full launch.

“As our updated system requirements became clearer, we’ve had to adjust our approach to make sure everything is ready for a smooth and stable release,” reads a statement from the game’s creators, Competition Company.

During these dates, the game will not be playable.

However, the aforementioned “limited free-to-enter version” will be available at a later date – it will offer one car, the BMW M2 CS Racing, and one track, the Founders Track (a fictional island circuit previewed below), for no charge.
