RaceRoom updates some tracks to 2024 spec, adds dynamic surfaces and touring car DLC
What is touted as ‘Dynamic Surface Interaction’ plus free Monza and Watkins Glen updates have been added to RaceRoom, and highly-anticipated DLC lands.
The 1990s were a halcyon time for touring car racing, and RaceRoom has not forgotten. Hot on the heels of its evocative 1995 DTM content comes the Super Touring Car Pack, released today, December 10th, 2024.
“If you’re a fan of Super Tourers then just go and buy RaceRoom’s Super Touring Car Pack now, you won’t be disappointed,” we said in our review.
The pack includes five cars (details below) and is currently priced at £13.18/€15.96 or £4.94/€5.98 per car.
A matching ‘classic’ Silverstone (with three layouts) and Estoril have also been released today, priced at £5.76/€6.98 each.
However, alongside the DLC, the full game update changelog has been published, and even for those not picking up the new content will have something fresh to drive.
Both Monza and Watkins Glen tracks have been updated to ‘2024-spec’, while the French venue of Nogaro now has an additional Moto layout.
Hockenheimring, meanwhile, has received updated kerbs, white lines, camera placements and buildings.
The AI performance at the Lausitzring and Zandvoort has been tweaked, alongside a key feature – Dynamic Surface Interaction.
In what is the flavour of the month, with some other simulations also releasing a similar feature on the same day, this will see the transfer of grass, dirt and gravel onto the track (if driven on), leaving a trail that evolves throughout the race.
