RaceRoom Praga Cup UK Championship series starts 19th April

A brand-new sim racing championship on the RaceRoom Racing Experience platform is set to start up in the middle of April. The virtual Praga Cup UK presented by SOP Motorsport, in association with MOZA Racing and Speedscents, is that championship, and there are some decent prizes up for grabs to the winners.

It’s a six-race championship that starts on 17th April and utilizes the Praga R1 car around a host of different British venues. It is only open to 30 participants, and while registration is open until the competition begins, all 30 spots have been claimed already.

These events will take place on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm BST. Each round will have a 10 minute practice, 10 minute qualifying, a 15 minute Sprint race and a 30 minute Feature race. It will also be a fixed setup series.

The champion of the series will win a MOZA Racing R5 DD Bundle, which includes a R5 Direct Drive wheel base, an ES Steering Wheel, a pair of SR-P Lite pedals and a table clamp for the R5 base.

While the series is open to anyone, the highest finishing driver from the UK will earn a VIP ticket to attend the real-world Praga R1 Cup Championship at Donington Park on 15th October. One driver will also be chosen at random to receive a £50 prize for competing in every round of the competition.

There’s no word if the series will have a broadcast or not. More information can be found on the official series page on simracing.gp.
