Race for the Chase as Daytona joins Rocket Racing

Daytona International Speedway is available to drive in Fortnite’s Rocket Racing now.

In anticipation of NASCAR’s visit to the Floridian track for the Daytona 400 this weekend, a heavily stylised version of the track has made its way to Epic Games’ free-to-play online racer Rocket Racing, itself an offshoot of the ludicrously popular third-person shooter Fortnite.

The NASCAR and Rocket Racing relationship began in July this year after the Chicago Street Circuit was added to Psyonix’s over-the-top racing title, providing a semi-realistic depiction of the treacherous track.

However, Daytona’s authors have used a little more creative freedom, draping the environment in pink and purples, with the trackside furniture typically bold and in-your-face. It’s perfectly juxtaposed with how seriously the real-world championship is being currently taken, with only a couple of Playoff spots left in the race for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series.

Players can gain access to the new track by inputting ‘6126-3930-0814’ in the search field on the game’s main menu.
