PXN launches pentathlon sim racing competition

Equipment manufacturer PXN has created, with Simracing.gp, a sim racing pentathlon competition.

Known as the PXN Pentathlon, PC competitors will take to formula cars in Assetto Corsa, the BMW M2 CS Racing in iRacing, Hypercars in Le Mans Ultimate, GT3 machines and Assetto Corsa Competizione and finally back to Assetto Corsa with front-wheel drive Clio Cups.

Each of the five rounds will be broadcast live (top split) by AK Esports and take place once a week on a Thursday evening between 21st August and 18th September 2025.

There will be prizes up for grabs, with the top three drivers awarded ‘premium’ PXN hardware, and weekly split 1 podium finishers will also receive bonus prizes from the same brand.

There’s also an interesting points structure, less inspired by motorsport, and more by pentathlons and with bonuses for live streaming your perspective:

  • 1 point per completed practice or qualifying lap
  • 2 points per completed race lap
  • 10/5/2 bonus points for podium finishes
  • 10 bonus points for streaming your race (linked via SGP profile, with PXN and SGP)
  • 1.5x multiplier if you complete all 5 events

Registration is open now via Simracing.gp.

PXN is involved off the back of its new VD Series range of direct drive sim racing wheel bases and matching accessories. These are available as of today (8th August) and will also be available to test for those visiting the Gamescom event in Germany later this month.
