Last week, 16th January, Project Motor Racing published its first major update for 2026, with performance, penalty and radar improvements.
It was only a fleeting appearance on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S devices, however. Following reports of low frame rates, the Straight4 Studios development team rolled back 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.0.4 on consoles.
Now, three days later (19th January), the update is available on all platforms, following a hotfix and re-publication.

“Apologies for that. It’s an unfortunate byproduct of the cadence with which we’re delivering these constant updates,” said team-founder Ian Bell on social media.
With this latest update now complete, there’s still plenty of work ahead for the now-diminutive team, with further patches expected across the year in the run-up to the expected DLC programme.
The changes for the current update are once again listed below.
