- Ford Mustang GT3 spotted in screenshots
- Daytona International Speedway and Sebring International Raceway teased in a social media post.
Project Motor Racing has announced that it has secured an IMSA licence, potentially opening the gate to over 50 years’ worth of motorsport content.
In a meandering walk down memory lane, an official statement from developer Straight4 Studios suggested several pieces of historic content could be added to the game, with new screenshots seemingly confirming the Ford Mustang GT3’s inclusion.
An accompanying X post also specifically mentioned IMSA’s ‘two crown-jewel endurance events’, widely thought to be the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona, perhaps indicating their presence in the final game.
IMSA is the foremost North American motorsport organising body and is responsible for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, featuring a range of advanced GTP Hypercars and GT3 sports cars.
The IMSA deal likely means PMR will feature official cars, tracks and liveries from IMSA series past and present, covering several notable categories. However, exact details have yet to be established.
Sebring, Daytona and the GT3 Mustang have previously never been teased for PMR, but the former did appear in promotional images when the game was known as GTRevival. The Mustang’s GT4 cousin has also been previously confirmed, with a host of modern GT3, GT4 and GTP Hypercars also slated for inclusion.

Historic
IMSA has seen a whole host of incredible cars since its inception in 1969, including Group C, Group 5, GTO and GTU categories, all the way up to modern GTPs. Specifically named in the statement are the likes of the fearsome Nissan ZX-Turbo, the Porsche 962 and the Mazda RX-792P, which would surely be popular additions to the game.
IMSA is also stacked with an impressive array of tracks, with circuits like Road America, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, Laguna Seca and Long Beach all potentially available to Straight4.

Isn’t Petit Le Mans the other crown jewel? Anyway, that’s always what I thought.
