The promotion means that those with a PC and Steam can play Project Motor Racing for no charge from now until the 30th March.

Project Motor Racing free on PC

In an effort to see an increase in PC player numbers, and following a ‘Update 2.0’ release earlier this week, Project Motor Racing is becoming free to play for a limited period.

Starting now, 5 pm GMT on 26th March 2026, and ending at 6 pm BST on 30th March 2026, the full game can be downloaded and played for no charge from Steam.

This means the full career mode and the ranked multiplayer races – the full game – is unlimited and free during this time period.

A significant update was recently launched for the title, bringing with it notably upgraded tyre models for several classes and a raft of welcome changes. In the opinion of the Traxion team, however, there are still many areas in need of improvement, but the quantity of changes is welcome.

For those who did not dive in at its November release, now you can at least see how the present version compares to other sim racing titles.
