Embryonic sim racing game Project Motor Racing has confirmed another roster expansion – the Gillet Vertigo.

The what?

The Gillet Vertigo. For those not familiar with their Belgian vehicles (because why would you be?), this front-mid-engined sportscar started life back in the 1990s with a series of prototypes.

Eventually, the carbon chassis-utilising machine started racing and is also known for its inclusion in 2001’s Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec video game.

The version showcased by developers Straight4 Studios is powered by an Alfa Romeo 3-litre V6 engine, known as the ‘Busso’ and famed for a sonorous tone.

In period, it featured in sporadic Belgian races and FIA GT events, also featuring in the GTR 2: FIA GT Racing Game simulation. Some of the team who created that title are now working on Project Motor Racing.

It joins the Lister Storm and Saleen S7-R as previously confirmed eclectic GT racing cars for the upcoming title.

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The single teaser image didn’t just unveil a new car for the platform, either. In the main image of this article, the Gillet is entering the first corner at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, or Mosport Park, heading into The Esses.

The first ever permanent motorsport venue in Canada, it is regularly used for GT and sportscar racing, featuring on the 2025 IMSA Sportscar Championship calendar, for instance.

Lime Rock Park and Sebring are already on the track list for Project Motor Racing, alongside this Canadian addition.

There is no release window for the upcoming simulation driving game, but it will be published by, and borrow graphics technology from, GIANTS Software and is expected to be released on both PC and consoles.
