Virtual Racing School (VRS) has announced its 20Nm DirectForce Pro Formula Steering Wheel is available to pre-order now.
The direct drive steering wheel, first showcased during the opening Katowice rounds of ESL R1 this year, features adjustable magnetic shifter and clutch paddles, with VRS forgoing carbon fibre to focus on a CNC-machined aluminium construction.
The 5mm-thick front plate, buttons and switches (at least 14 buttons, two joysticks, three rotary encoders and two rotary switches) are also constructed from aluminium, looking sturdy and finished with an attractive brushed aesthetic.
The 287mm diameter formula wheelrim has fully replaceable silicone hand grips ideal for gloves and bare hands, with the 70mm pitch circle diameter (PCD) mounting suitable for several high-end quick-release systems, including the new VRS Quick Release.
VRS hails the single printed circuit board (PCB) electronics package as a way to improve reliability and costs, with VRS boasting the DirectForce Pro Formula Steering Wheel comes in at €100 less than the equivalent steering wheel from rival peripheral manufacturer Ascher Racing.
The VRS Pro Formula Steering Wheel is available to pre-order now from the VRS website, priced at $997 USD / €997 / $1557 AUD.
