Predator Sim Racing Cup 2022 offering €50,000 in prizes, registration open now

Registration for the Predator Sim Racing Cup 2022 is now open, and will take place utilising the Assetto Corsa platform. Organised by R8G Esports, the event will take place at the virtual Silverstone Circuit and will see sim racers go to battle with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3, McLaren 650S GT3, or the Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO.

There are 12 different European cups that 24 participating countries can compete in. For the most part, each country gets its own cup, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Turkey.

The three remaining cups have multiple countries competing. The Nordics Cup will cover Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The Czech Cup covers the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Finally, the Middle East Cup includes the remaining 10 countries included in the participation – United Arabian Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.

The pool of prizes is valued at €50,000. Half of it will go to product prizes, such as a Predator Orion 3000, a Predator X25 Monitor, mouses, keyboards, headsets and even backpacks. The other half is for cash prizes, and that includes winning up to €1,700 per cup.

While registration is open now, hotlaps begin on 2nd May. They’ll be open until 5th May, and the Top 26 drivers in each cup will compete against one another in a 30-minute Silverstone battle. Check the site to see when each regional final will take place, but it will either be 7th May, 14th May or 21st May.

The Top 2 finishers in each region will move on to the International Final where the overall winner will be invited to join Romain Grosjean’s sim racing team, R8G Esports.

Each competitor will need to have Steam, Assetto Corsa, the Assetto Corsa Dream Packs DLC2 and DLC3, and the Predator Silverstone track. By registering for the competition, entrants will receive a special code for 80 per cent off of the DLC.

Unfortunately, those of us in North America are not invited to compete, nor is anyone outside of the 24 European countries listed. If you are in one of those 24 countries eligible to compete, sign up for your chance at great prizes and maybe even a virtual drive with R8G Esports. Be sure to read the full rules on the registration site and register / qualify before 5th May.
