The Porsche 911 GT1 Evo Straßenversion from 1997 has been added to the Forza Street mobile game, although you’ll have to work for it.

A new Porsche Showdown series of events has been added to the popular phone-racer, following on from previous Showdowns such as Hot Wheels and Alfa Romeo. Live right now, players can take part in daily Porsche-themed events across two weeks.

This new Showdown replaces the regular Spotlight Events. In Week 1, the aim is to unlock and improve your Porsche car collection by obtaining cards.

In the second week of the Spotlight, the new GT1 will appear, so you’ll need to play the Week 1’s events and try to unlock enough cards, potentially allowing you to grab the homologation special. The events in the second week will also allow you to unlock Showdown Tokens for use on limited time special offers.

If you’d like to know more about this stunningly rare supercar, designed to dominate the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the ever-insightful Henry Catchpole recently drove one for Carfection. An earlier variation, the 1996 spec, was also recently added to The Crew 2.
