Another two winners to add to Florian Lebigre and Charlie Collins’ successes at Spa last week, as those on pole reigned supreme at Silverstone in the second round of iRacing‘s Porsche Esports Supercup 2026.
It started with a pole lap from Diogo Pinto, just one thousandth of a second quicker than Alejandro Sanchez, who was forced to line up alongside. Those two held their positions in order on the opening lap, and the field filtered through the first sector cleanly.
It was only at Maggotts and Becketts on the first lap where there was trouble, as after contact Luke McKeown was sent off to drivers left at high speed, and at the next turn, Kody Deith was sent the other way. It would be a bad night for McKeown overall; he only recovered to 20th at race one’s end, and DNF’d after similar trouble in race two.
At the front, the top six were unchanged throughout the race, allowing Pinto to take the win ahead of Sanchez, while behind, the fight for seventh resumed. Cooper Webster would hold onto the place, just ahead of Dayne Warren, and it was extremely significant as it meant the pair of them would share the front row for race two.
As the first race showed, track position, and therefore the beginning of the race, would be very important, but despite that, the racing at the front remained clean. Warren and Webster maintained their positions at the front, while behind, Sanchez dropped places to ninth, bad news for his prospects after a strong opener.
