The OP Child Rid is a sim racing cockpit designed for those aged between three and 10 who are looking to gain extra track experience.
Is your child the next Sir Lewis Hamilton or Max Verstappen? Have they embarked on a karting career?
If so, Finnish simulation equipment manufacturer OverPower has created a cockpit specifically for those younger drivers, aged between three and 10, looking to add additional virtual experience.
The OP Child Rig is designed on a smaller scale, making it easier for children to reach the pedals and wheels comfortably and climb in without having to climb up. It also features groove adjustability, so the pedals and wheel can slide back and forth as a child may grow, or different-aged siblings may want to share the set-up.
As the whole cockpit is lower, so too is the display mounting. Any handbrake or gearstick peripherals can be placed in a customised position, should the associated mount be purchased.
Produced in Rovaniemi, Finland, the Child Rig is priced at €399. Optional extras available include a monitor mount for €59, a gaming platform tray at €49, a cable box for the platform is €19 and a €49 shifter and handbrake mount.
The company also produces adult-sized sim racing cockpits such as the Formula and GT. Let us know in the comments below if you think the OP Child Rig is of interest to sim racing parents.
