The ‘3.0’ update for the Coach Dave Delta app is now available, allowing for real-time sim racing telemetry and post-session performance analysis for Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate drivers.
Having the Delta app running on a user’s PC will record lap data in the background, which can be viewed through a new dashboard area – avoiding the need to import information from a third-party provider, according to its creators.
The ability to compare your best lap with your other not-quite-as-quick laps in a session is possible, hopefully helping find out why you were quicker and then assisting in replicating your peak henceforth.
Various data streams are displayed, such as speed, throttle, brake input, steering input, gears and fuel usage, which can also be viewed in real time via a second screen.
For ACC drivers, you can look back at tyre pressure stats over a lap, and see if hitting a kerb (for example) reduces PSI. For iRacing drivers, analysis of in-laps and out-laps is possible.
Over time, ‘pro’ laps from the company’s roster of sim racers will be added to compare your performance with them. Alternatively, you can import a file from a friend or team member who is also a Delta member.
Highlighting areas of the line chart will highlight the area of the track via an interactive map, and there is also a sector breakdown tool.
It follows the announcement of ranked daily races for Assetto Corsa Competizione on console through sibling outfit SimGrid and Coach Dave Academy setups available directly within Le Mans Ultimate. Delta is currently priced at $12.99 per month or $129 per year, providing access to premium setups and the app’s functionality.
