NASCAR 26 will allow players to change individual driver ratings, it was revealed.
In a knockabout video presentation with Trackhouse drivers Shane van Gisbergen, Ross Chastain and Connor Zilisch, the drivers predicted each other’s ratings in-game before revealing that it will be possible to edit each driver’s skill level.
Ratings are split across seven NASCAR track types: Intermediate, Road Course, Super Speedway, Speedway, Concrete, Short Intermediate and ‘Martinsville’ (yes, Martinsville Speedway’s half-mile oval is considered so specialised it has its own category).
These individual ratings are collated together to form an overall rating, with the trio of Trackhouse drivers wisely deciding that SVG was worthy of a ‘99’ for Road Course driving: in just three seasons he has become the joint-second-winningest road course driver in series history, sitting alongside Tony Stewart on eight, one behind Jeff Gordon on nine.
