Motorsport UK, the governing body of all four-wheeled UK motorsport, has announced a sim racing series partnership with Radical UK using iRacing.
Following on from its community-focused collaboration with Porsche Cars GB, Motorsport UK has set up the 2023 Radical Esports Cup UK. The series is set to be held via the SimGrid platform, with a four-round championship open to three classes, each split by iRating.
The Pro class is for iRacers with an iRating above 3,500; Pro-Am is for those lying between 2,000 and 3,500; while Am is for those with an iRating of 2,000 and under.
Competitors will use the Radical SR10 sportscar and be treated to one-hour races replete with mandatory pitstop. At the end of the season, each class winner will receive two hospitality tickets to a Radical UK Cup round of their choice in 2024.
All drivers must hold a paid Motorsport UK Esports Membership (£24.99 for 12 months) and be over the age of 18 to take part, with all rounds set to be broadcast on RaceSpot.TV’s YouTube channel.
For more information, interested drivers can visit the championship’s SimGrid landing page.
