Motorsport UK’s Rookie Sportscar Cup is back for its second season, and this time it features Cube Controls as an official partner.

The Italian hardware manufacturer is offering prizes to the top three in each class for the newbie-focused series, including an F-Core Evo steering wheel for the winners.

Using iRacing, the Rookie Sportscar Cup is open to drivers who have never reached a 2,000 iRating (Road Licence), with each of its five circuits available as part of the subscription-based service’s base content package.

Drivers have two cars and classes to choose from: the powerful BMW M2 CS Racing coupe or the slightly more user-friendly Mazda MX-5, and can take advantage of one drop score for the entire season.

Each round consists of two 20-minute races, with novice drivers catered for thanks to the use of fixed set-ups and guaranteed dry conditions. Every race will be broadcast on Race Spot TV’s YouTube channel and Motorsport UK TV concurrently.

Drivers must be 13 years or older, with those under 18 requiring a parental consent form. Drivers must also have a valid Motorsport UK Esports paid membership, which costs £27.99 for 12 months.
