First completed in 2017, the competition will use the new MotoGP 23 video game, with qualifying beginning on 28th June 2023.
MotoGP Esports Championship returns with in-person final

For the seventh season, three in-game online challenges, open to all, will help determine a 22-competitor strong line-up for the Pro Draft.

Here, the top online qualified, plus riders who competed in last year’s Rising Stars Series will be selected by the teams. The end result will be 11 squads with 11 of the best virtual riders in the world.

Next up, there will be four championship rounds. Each will use the new-for-2023 Tissot Sprint format, plus two races. The fourth, and final, round will be an in-person LAN event at Ubeat Live gaming and technology show in Barcelona.

Of note, MotoGP 23 has revised riding physics and also, for the first time, dynamic weather with flag-to-flag races which could crop up during the competition.

adriaan_26 becomes 2022 MotoGP Esports champion

Last season, adriaan_26 became a two-time champion. Registration is now open for the 2023 edition.

  • 25th August – 11th November Global Series, four rounds, final at Ubeat Barcelona
