- New video trailer offers more insight into ATS’s Road Trip mode
- Release date still to be revealed, with SCS Software currently attending Gamescom
SCS Software has released a new video preview of the upcoming Road Trip mode for American Truck Simulator, offering a more detailed glimpse of its car customisation mechanic.
The new mode will let players buy, customise, and drive cars (and pickup trucks!) in the game, offering plenty of personalisation options along the way. These were detailed in an earlier blog post from the Czech studio, which the new video trailer expands on.
In terms of new reveals, the trailer shows detailed in-game footage of the 2024 Ford Bronco and the classic Ford Crown Victoria for the first time, and runs through Road Trip mode’s UI, including directions on how to buy, view and drive your new purchase.
The most interesting facet of this is the prospect of customising your car with different body parts, with the Crown Vic having six different rear bumper and rear panel options to choose from. The Bronco could be transformed, too, with its roof rack, spare wheel, and rear bumper all swappable.
