Italian developer Milestone has unveiled the long-term DLC plan for its forthcoming Monster Jam Showdown title, and it’s set to include several tracks set on the island state of Hawaii.
Those who purchase Monster Jam Showdown’s Season Pass will receive the ‘Aloha Expansion’, unlocking seven new tracks (including one new arena), five new trucks and a selection of exclusive liveries.
Milestone has also set out further DLC plans for the game, guaranteeing new content up to eight months after its launch date, boosting the game’s monster truck roster from 40 on release day up to 66.
Players who pre-order the Standard Edition of MJS will receive the Law & Disorder Pack (contents unknown at this stage), with those pre-ordering the game’s Big Air Edition receiving the same plus all Season Pass contents, three-day early access and the Odd Couple DLC Pack. Five free content updates will also be available to all players, including nine new monster trucks.
MJS is MIlestone’s first attempt at a Monster Jam game and will use Unreal Engine 5 to display its range of varied environments and over-the-top action. Very much geared towards arcadey fun, MJS’ races are set in Alaska, Colorado and Death Valley, with players encouraged to use shortcuts and the destructible environments to their advantage.
Monster Jam Showdown will be available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC from 29 August, with Early Access available from 26 August. Digital pre-orders are open now across all platforms.
