As of Monday (14th March), the latest Monster Energy Supercross game is available for those who ordered the Special Edition on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox One consoles.
Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5 is set to release in full on 17th March for the standard and Steam editions of the game. It’s an early access, of sorts, for those with the special edition on the consoles.
The title was announced back in November 2021 and will feature riders and teams from the real-world FIM World Championship. On top of that, the game will have split-screen multiplayer, a heavily requested feature for those who want to play on a single console.
We got to try a preview build of the upcoming game, and in that, Tom said that “this year’s improvements are helping the series head in the right direction.” If you’ve got the Special Edition on one of the consoles, you’re able to play it right now. As for Steam players and those with the standard edition, well, we’ll see you on Thursday (17th March) when it releases in full.
Keep in mind, if you got the game on the older generation for now, both Xbox and PlayStation will also offer free upgrades from older to newer generation consoles. From PS4 to PS5, Monster Energy Supercross 5 can be upgraded through a free upgrade, and from Xbox One to the Xbox Series X|S, you can get it through Smart Delivery.
