Lunar sale: the best discounts for racing games on Steam

Happy Chinese New Year! Whether it’s a holiday that you follow or not, there’s more than one reason to celebrate as Steam has dropped their annual sale on video games. We’ll be looking through the sale and help you find the best deals on racing games for your PC.

One of the outstanding sales that catches our eye is 50% discount on Assetto Corsa Competizione. The popular GT sim has been released on PC since July 2018 as an early access title but ha been a fully-fledged released game since May 2019. So it might seem like ACC is an old game but it is consistently receiving updates and has a popular online multiplayer community. You’ll also find that most DLC is 20-40% off, except the recently released British GT Pack which is full price. You can expect to pay $19.99/€19.99/£17.49 – click here for a link to the store page.

If you haven’t picked up Wreckfest yet, now is your chance. The insane, chaotic, destructive action has something for everyone. Like ACC, the game has been out for a while but at 50% off, it’s worth every penny. Along with the base game discount, you can also receive a 34% discount off all the DLC car content as well. The price is $14.99/€14.99/£13.49 – click here for a link to the store page.

DiRT Rally 2.0 is an absolute bargain. One of, if not the best rally sims on the market is an incredible 75% off. When you consider that you get both a rally and officially-licensed rallycross experience then there’s a lot of value for money on offer. The price is $6.24/€4.99/£4.99 – click here for a link to the store page.

Do you have the Need for Speed (Heat)? Released only last June, the cops and robbers arcade experience is hitting hard with a brilliant 65% discount. It’s worth considering whether subscribing to EA Play for $4.99/€3.99/£3.99 per month if you think you could get through it quickly (or have other EA games you want to play). If you prefer to buy it though it’ll cost you $24.99/€24.49/£20.99 – click here for a link to the store page. If that’s not enough for you, make sure you grab the Need for Speed bundle at a whopping 69% off if it takes your fancy.

As is traditional on big steam sales, rFactor 2 is on sale with 50% off. The advanced simulation is one of the most rewarding sims to drive, with a very advanced tire and physics model. Unfortunately this time though, there are no discounts on any of the DLC items. The price is $15.99/€14.99/£12.89 – click here for a link to the store page.

Here’s our selection of other impressive price points for racing games in the Steam lunar sale:

Elsewhere, Raceroom Racing Experience is also holding their own sale with up to 50% off content – click here to access their store.
