  • LGMC switches from Forza Motorsport to LMU for 2026
  • Prize pool worth $35,000 available
  • Daily qualifiers running from May until July

The Logitech G McLaren Challenge is back for 2026, and this time the sim racing competition has switched from Forza Motorsport to Le Mans Ultimate.

Jointly produced by Formula 1 team McLaren and Swiss-American tech giant Logitech, this year’s Logitech G McLaren Challenge (LGMC) will feature a prize pool worth over $35,000, including Logitech and Playseat products.

A VIP trip to the stunning Norman Foster-designed McLaren Technology Centre, where the team’s championship-winning cars are built, is also up for grabs, with all eligible players who enter the competition eligible to win the concurrent Sweepstakes prize haul (prizes for the lucky winner are listed near the bottom of this article).

The LGMC has previously run on titles such as iRacing, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione and the aforementioned Forza Motorsport, giving virtual drivers a chance to get behind the wheel of iconic McLaren race cars through the generations. This year is no different, with the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo being the main protagonist.

Daily Qualifiers

Players can progress through the LGMC by competing in daily LMU qualifying races (schedule noted below, with the first at Spa-Francorchamps open now), and the 12 fastest drivers – two from each qualifier – will advance to the Grand Finals in August.

The final 12 will each be assigned a date to complete a solo three-lap race of each qualifier track, with the fastest lap time from each race added together. The quickest cumulative driver will then be declared the overall winner and receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the MTC.

Full terms and conditions for the competition can be found here, while further information, including eligibility and tournament details, is available via the official LGMC website.

McLaren and Logitech have enjoyed a particularly successful partnership over the years, with a Papaya-branded cockpit, steering wheel and headset unveiled last September.
