Le Mans Ultimate surpasses half a million sales

It’s sometimes easy to forget the mire Motorsport Games was in when it released Le Mans Ultimate through early access two-and-a-half years ago. It’s also easy to forget the potentially ruinous intial Steam review backlash.

But, bit by bit, update by update – the recent Joker system controversy and netcode instabilities notwithstanding – the company has turned it around.

Today, 14th August 2026, it reported its sixth consecutive profitable quarter, unheard of back in the company’s 2023 nadir.

With the latest financial results comes an update on game sales.

“I am also delighted to share that we have now sold more than half a million units of the Le Mans Ultimate base game alongside more than 1.2 million individual pieces of downloadable content,” said Motorsport Games President and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Hood.

Between April and June of this year (MSG’s financial year Q2), revenue rose 36.6% to $3.5 million, when compared to the same period in 2025. In the first half of 2026 (Q1 plus Q2), this was up 74.0% to $7.6 million.

Of that income, the optional RaceControl subscription for Le Mans Ultimate accounted for $1.4 million during the first half of this year, up ~349%.

As of 30th June 2026, there were 40,520 paid subscribers, a ~230% year-on-year increase.

“We believe it’s already proving to be a real jewel in our portfolio, amplifying our games in a distinct way versus the competition,” said Hood of RaceControl.

According to the company, April 2026 was the highest-ever month for average daily active users.

A Version 1.4 update, and the first of three US track pack DLCs due this year, were released in July, which won’t be reported on until the Q3 earnings report expected in November.
