ELMS DLC Part 3 released
Le Mans Ultimate’s v1.3 update is out now alongside the third part of its ELMS DLC, with the game undergoing several new performance and quality of life improvements.
Other performance improvements are expected on track, too, with cars you can’t physically see no longer rendered, a process publisher Motorsport Games calls ‘occlusion culling’. The game’s UI has also been brought up to modern standards, making it far easier for LMU to be ported to console in future.
Away from performance, the game also sees Logitech Trueforce tech introduced for the first time, with new track layouts for Paul Ricard and Silverstone debuting. For a full rundown of LMU’s latest DLC, check out our video below.
Le Mans Ultimate LMGT3 and Hypercar BoP changes
MSG has also revealed a comprehensive revision of the game’s BoP (Balance of Performance) calculations for its LMGT3 and Hypercar categories in v1.3, with the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo and Ferrari 296 LMGT3 both given hefty weight breaks.
The BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo, Ford Mustang LMGT3 and Porsche 911 LMGT3 R have all gone on a diet, too, while the Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 has been significantly nerfed at Le Mans (+18 Kg), Silverstone (+10 Kg) and Qatar (+10 Kg).
The Lexus RC F LMGT3 has received the largest overall weight increase in LMGT3, with extra ballast added at 12 tracks, including 12 Kg at Imola and 10 Kg at COTA. Ouch.
In the Hypercar class, the wingless Peugeot 9X8 and Ferrari 499P have been given the biggest weight penalties, with the latter hit with over 10 Kg of extra lead across 12 tracks. The former fares worse in certain cases, however, with 25 Kg added at Silverstone and Qatar, and 20 Kg at both COTA and Paul Ricard.
The Alpine A424, Aston Martin Valkyrie, Isotta Fraschini TIPO6-C, Porsche 963, and Lamborghini SC63 have all enjoyed mostly positive adjustments, while the Toyota GR010 has received a mixed bag of changes.
