The next two cars to be added to Le Mans Ultimate via paid-for downloadable content will be the Alpine and Isotta Fraschini in the Hypercar class.
In information sent to media for the release of the Tifosi Italia DLC pack released today, 23rd July – which includes the Imola circuit plus the Lamborghini SC63 and 2024-spec Peugeot 9X8 – the line-up was confirmed for the next set.
“Pack 2 – Expected September/October 2024 – 1 Track / 2 Hypercars,” reads the document.
Only two cars from the Hypercar class remain to be released, thus sometime in September or October 2024, the French and Italian cars will become available.
Following the completion of the premier FIA World Endurance Championship category, the third and fourth packs will focus on the LMGT3 category.
The Alpine A424 has been teased for the sim racing title with work-in-progress images published in June. Running to the LMDh ruleset, it is powered by a turbocharged V6 engine – thought to be related to the Mecachrome unit used in Formula 2 – combined with a standardised hybrid unit.
The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH-C, meanwhile, runs to the Hypercar ruleset, which means being based on some form of road-going machine. It uses a 3-litre 90-degree turbocharged V6 tuned by German outfit HWA in combination with a hybrid system. The aerodynamics were honed by Williams Advanced Engineering.
The track included with the two new cars is yet to be confirmed, but it will be either Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos), Circuit of the Americas or Qatar’s Losail International Circuit.
Based on the price for the first DLC pack, we expect the second pack to cost £9.99 GBP / €11.99 / $12.99 USD.
