Following on from the successful release of Le Mans Ultimate’s 2024 Pack 5 DLC this week, Motorsport Games’ official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship has enjoyed record player numbers on Steam.

LMU hit a peak concurrent player figure of 5,559* on the new DLC’s release date (10th June 2025), which dropped off by around 10% a day later.

The game’s latest DLC pack included the Lusail International Circuit, plus the Lexus RC F LMGT3 and Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo2, thereby completing the full suite of car and track content from the 2023 and 2024 seasons of WEC.

A sizeable update also introduced much-requested driver swap, custom livery and team management features to the game, and it’s rightly being viewed as a turning point for LMU’s multiplayer scene.

Helpfully, this week WEC’s blue riband event, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is being held at the Circuit de la Sarthe, with MSG showcasing new game content in the form of the 2025 Aston Martin Valkyrie on-site.

Although hitting over 5,000 concurrent players shows a marked improvement in LMU’s fortunes, in the same period, Assetto Corsa, released in 2014, hit more than 14,000 concurrent players.

However, the good news may continue for LMU fans as MSG is set to hold a press conference at Le Mans this week.
