iRacing’s Global Director of Operations Greg West has announced that Laguna Seca will no longer be freely available to new subscribers.
Yesterday, West posted on iRacing’s official forums to state that “WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will be moving from the iRacing base package to paid content”.
The announcement apparently comes just as the subscription-based sim racing service signed a ‘long-term’ renewal agreement with the track, which is set to cover several of iRacing Studios’ IPs, which may or may not include the likes of its IndyCar and NASCAR-licensed titles, plus the upcoming iRacing Arcade.

“iRacing has entered into a long term renewal with WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for multiple iRacing properties, which is great news for the community as it ensures this legendary circuit remains a part of the service for years to come,” stated West.
The pricing switch will occur after iRacing’s next patch is implemented this Thursday, 25th September, but there’s one large (and positive) caveat for users.
