We’ve only got two more weeks of iRacing track guides for the Fanatec GT Challenge in 2021 Season 3. After three straight weeks of road racing in North America, it’s time to head South, down to Brazil.
This week, Dave Cam takes a look at the Brazilian track Interlagos, properly known as Autódromo José Carlos Pace. The popular circuit opened in 1940, and the current configuration has been in use since 2000. The layout used today is 4.309-kilometers or 2.677-miles and features 15 turns.
Utilising the Porsche 911 GT3R as always, Dave has all the tips and tricks you need to get around the corners efficiently. A slow, methodical approach is the way to learn the different apexes and braking points. Hot lappers beware, this isn’t the place to learn how to be fast right away, but it’s the place to learn how to get consistent. Once you get the track down, the fast laps will eventually come.
