iRacing Arcade breaks cover, revealing Circuit Superstars-inspired gameplay

It’s been over a year since iRacing announced it was teaming up with Original Fire Games to create a cutesy racing game, but today we finally saw some in-game footage.

iRacing Arcade is what happens when you plop officially licensed cars and tracks into Circuit Superstars, OFG’s breakout racing hit of 2021.

Although details are scant at this stage, the brief snippet of preview footage showed a stylised Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) being offloaded onto an equally cartoonish Imola track, racing side-by-side with multiple other Cup cars (an honourable mention for the fully animated pitcrew, too!).

The overall look and feel of the game closely resembles Circuit Superstars on first inspection, as iRacing steps up its presence in the wider video game market. The title is expected to have a career mode, global leaderboards and multiplayer, although it appears to have dispensed with Circuit Superstars’ top-down view in favour of a swingman POV – much like the OFG’s previous game, Karting Superstars.

iRacing’s Executive Vice President Steve Myers has previously stated that the firm has “…a 10-year plan to really turn into a powerhouse in the gaming space as a publisher and a developer,” something that has already borne ExoCross, two World of Outlaws games and the forthcoming NASCAR 25 title.

A further post by iRacing revealed more tracks and cars set to come to the game, with Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and Barber Motorsports Park teased. In terms of cars, the Ray FF1600 and what looks to be a Porsche 963 were also showcased, with IMSA’s GTP class confirmed to appear.

iRacing Arcade is set to release on Steam this autumn, with a console release expected in 2026.
