- iRacing to host DTM community races
- DTM’s relationship with RaceRoom is unaffected
iRacing has announced a commercial tie-in with Germany’s premier touring car category, the DTM.
As part of the deal, community-focused virtual races will be held on the iRacing platform, mirroring the real-world DTM calendar with eight events throughout 2026.
In recent years, the DTM has switched from Class 1 touring car regulations to the near-ubiquitous GT3 ruleset, meaning there will be plenty of car choices for prospective racers.

Of the current DTM calendar, iRacing is missing the Norisring and Lausitzring circuits, so its community series will instead visit Spa-Francorchamps and Brands Hatch, respectively. The service also requires the new-for-2026 Lamborghini Temerario GT3 and Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo to match the DTM’s current vehicle roster (the 296 is only available in its non-Evo configuration at the moment).
As part of the deal, all of the DTM’s 2025 liveries (using the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO instead of the Temerario) will be freely made available via Trading Paints.

The events, which are open to all iRacing subscribers, will suit multiple time zones and follow DTM’s 55-minute race format, including a pit stop. Each event will begin on the Thursday before the real-world race.
“There is huge interest in the DTM among sim racers – we are seeing that both in online races and the simulators at DTM events,” stated ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.
“We are pleased to make the virtual DTM accessible to an even larger circle of sim racers with iRacing. As well as integrating the simulation, the plans for our long-term cooperation also include joint marketing and community activities,” he concluded.
RaceRoom
Despite the iRacing deal, DTM’s relationship with RaceRoom is also set to continue, with the KW Studios-developed title scheduled to host the popular DTM Esports competition once again in 2026.
