iRacing has partnered with renowned engineering firm Cosworth to provide free telemetry tools to its subscribers.
Cosworth’s Pi Toolbox application will be made available to all iRacers with a valid subscription, with a new ‘Cosworth Cup’ competition set to launch on the service in September.
The tie-in won’t stop with iRacing either, as the firm’s console titles, including iRacing Arcade and NASCAR 25, are expected to feature the British brand in some capacity.
As part of the agreement, Pi Toolbox will become the official data analysis platform of iRacing, providing live remote telemetry data while you drive. This data can also be viewed by teammates, engineers and driver coaches.
“This partnership represents a big step forward in Cosworth’s ongoing mission to democratise data for drivers at every level,” stated Florian Kamelger, CEO of Cosworth. “By combining our industry-leading Pi Toolbox platform with iRacing’s immense reach and technical credibility, we’re empowering a new wave of talent to unlock performance through data, whether they’re racing virtually or in the real world,” he continued.

The latest version of Pi Toolbox will be able to read and interpret ‘IBT’ files produced natively by iRacing, and will come installed with custom workbooks tailored for the platform. This will make it relatively easy to monitor vehicle inputs and identify areas where laptime can be improved, thereby enhancing a driver’s overall pace and consistency.
Cosworth’s live remote telemetry feature is also utilised in real-world motorsport, including the World Endurance Championship and IndyCar. Although it seems complicated, video tutorials on how to use the software will be made available online upon release.
Cosworth’s Pi Toolbox functionality will be officially unveiled alongside iRacing’s Season 4 2025 build on the 9th of September 2025, with functionality turned on a week later on the 16th of September.
