Level 91 Entertainment’s fun arcade racer Inertial Drift: Twilight Rivals Edition is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 20th October, the developer has announced.
Set in re-imagined ‘90s cityscapes featuring plenty of neon lighting, Inertial Drift: Twilight Rivals Edition is geared to build on the success of its PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4and Xbox One predecessor, with an all-new story mode, 24 vehicles, 14 tracks, local and online multiplayer plus performance and quality modes.
Performance mode ensures the game runs at a smooth 120 frames-per-second – ideal in a fast-paced racing game – while quality mode locks the game at 4K resolution, enhancing the game’s cel-shaded inspired visuals.
Our first look at the game back in August revealed its retro Eurobeat soundtrack and the four new cars coming to this ninth-generation console version of the acclaimed twin-stick drift racer.
In positive news for existing Inertial Drift players on Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC, the Twilight Rivals Edition’s new content will be available as a DLC pack – presumably without performance and quality modes – and will release alongside PS5 and Series X|S versions on 20th October.
