During the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series World Finals, a new TCR-spec racing car has been confirmed for Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive another new racing car – the Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

Following the Ferrari 296 GT3 in December’s Spec III update, this current-spec touring car is based on the facelifted Elantra performance saloon, which was added to the game in September 2025.

TCR class cars are raced in multiple real-world categories, predominantly by customer drivers and teams, much like GT3 vehicles. There is a manufacturer-backed FIA TCR World Tour series too, where Hyundai competes with this model.

Every car in this category is front-wheel drive, turbocharged and heavily modified compared to the road cars they are based upon.

In Gr.4 there are other FWD touring cars in GT7, such as the Renault Megane, Audi TT and Volkswagen Scirocco – however, these are fictional creations, with this new Hyundai being the first to conform to the real-world TCR class.

It has been 10 years since the Hyundai N performance brand. I twas said to come in the “next update” according to Hyundai.

It wasn’t the only announcement from the event. Abu Dhabi was confirmed as the first Gran Turismo World Series round in 2026, and Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that the game has over two million monthly active users.
